What the engine did
- ♩Placed every student with a teacher who teaches their instrument, inside the hours both are free.
- ♩Put siblings back to back with the same teacher, so a family has one visit, not two.
- ♩Grouped each teacher's day by neighborhood and ordered the stops, using Google Maps drive times for weekday after-school traffic.
- ♩Left every teacher the full drive plus at least 5 minutes before the next home.
- ♩Checked the result for double-bookings, lessons outside someone's hours, and missed meal breaks. It found none.
The families are made up. Each one is placed at a public spot in the Boise, Idaho area (a park, library or school),22 in all, so the drive between any two of them is a real Google Maps figure. Your schedule is built from your own roster, availability, and addresses.
