Import your roster
What to upload, which columns help, and why the files describe availability, not fixed lesson times.
Upload your teacher availability files as CSV or DOCX. You can drop several at once.
These are availability windows, not lesson times
Your files describe when students and teachers are free. Set the Tune reads those windows and places each student into a real lesson slot for you. You do not pre-build the timetable; that is the job the optimizer does.
Columns that help
- Student name and instrument
- Lesson length (for example 30 or 60 minutes)
- Availability (the days and times the student can attend)
- Address or neighborhood (unlocks drive-time routing for traveling teachers)
- A parent or contact field if you have one
Missing a column is fine. The more you include, the better the placement and the routing.
Messy or incomplete rows get flagged for review instead of blocking the import. See the article on flagged rows to clean them up.
